JH Textiles - Serengeti Collection

Jiun Ho Textile Serengeti Collection grew out of Jiun’s trip to Kenya in late 2018. The word “Serengeti” means “Great Plain” in Masai. The Serengeti is dotted with small farms, waterways and animals migrating. It is a gorgeous tapestry of flora and fauna. The colors, patterns, and shapes became his inspiration for the Serengeti Collection. His aim was to translate what he experienced on that trip into fabric that gives you a feeling for the magic of the Serengeti.
 

Kyoto Collection

Jiun Ho expands the design dialogue he began with his Japan collection in a new textile line that celebrates the beauty and culture of Kyoto. A mix of outdoor and indoor, the seven new fabrics follow the traditional techniques of Japanese textile making. Each reveals subtle details, each explores the rich interplay of colors that create a feeling of antiquity, and all are a delicious blend of natural fibers. The Kyoto collection deepens Jiun’s vision of modernity and textured tranquility, all wrapped in luxe materiality.

The Japanese word for peace is, NAGOMI, a word that resonates strongly to Jiun Ho especially when he’s at home, in Sonoma. There, in a garden full of flowers, vegetables, and herbs, taking in their multi-colored beauty, Jiun finds peace. Is it any wonder Jiiun named his home, and latest textile collection, the same word: Nagomi. Welcome to this new world of fabric, where Jiun sought to capture what his eyes saw and his heart felt, when spending time in and around the garden. Inspired by the timeless allure of Japanese aesthetics, this collection beautifully encapsulates the essence of Japanese joinery techniques and the artistry of Roku ceramics, paying tribute to the meticulous craftsmanship of the East.

We are thrilled to introduce Jiun Ho Curations—a quarterly showcase of Jiun Ho’s favorite pieces and fabrics from the Jiun Ho Collection. Each curation is thoughtfully selected based on the season, Jiun’s mood, or whatever happens to inspire him at the moment. Jiun Ho interprets what he sees in nature, wherever he sees it. He savors the dichotomies that call out to him. This all come into play in Jiun Ho Textile, in designs that awaken us to the experience of place, and the emotions they evoke. Our Kalahari Performer Collection, uses state of the art yarns, is perfectly suited for indoor and outdoor use across a broad range of applications. The textile has a soft hand, of Belgian made Eplingé whose up and down pile brings a three dimensionality quality, of the quilted firm touch of Mattelasse, to a textured flat woven.
